Short Review: I Heart You, You Haunt Me

Sorry this post got screwed up awesome followers! I have no idea what happened... but I re-wrote it now :)

I Heart You, You Haunt Me

A book
Written in verse.
Short lines
Lots of meaning.

A girl dares
her boy to jump

He dies.

But then he comes back?

This book is really cool.  It's not long - it took me about 45 minutes to read.. but it's really cute :)

The Summer Of Jack

Summer Of Jack -- Chapter One

Sunshine boy.  His smile lit up my mind, reminding me of all the good times we had spent together.  Weren’t all of my good times with him?  Out in the sun, on the dock, the dark, shady forest between our cottages, this summer had gone by in a breeze.  I could still feel it; the cool, moist ground beneath my bare feet, early morning fog, and the warm lake water.  I envisioned pine trees swinging in the breeze, the roar of a wave from the thousands of poplar trees, and the growl of diesel boats.  It didn’t seem at all over.  Outside, the sun shone bright and the kids played on the road, all oblivious to the one cold fact; he was gone.

Coincidences!

Isn't it a coincidence that I chose to do my French project on Iceland food...

and now Iceland is ALL OVER the news because of the volcano?

it isn't every day Iceland makes the news

or a volcano explodes.

Like the massive one.

How Do You Eat Crepes/Pancakes

I made Icelandic Pancakes.

I used to recipe from this website, but changed it.... the first time, I followed everything except I accidentally mixed up the butter (I used oil, I even googled and found our the right amount to change butter to oil, but I was wrong :( ahaha).  The second time, I got the RIGHT butter, and did it all in whole wheat.  I may do it half-and-half the third time (I have to make this for my class! ahh!)

Taking Some Obvious Advice

Hi, I'm a bit behind and short on this post, but I've been thinking a lot and have a lot of homework.  Yeah, excuses excuses.... but what else can you give?

For homework, I have a survey+analysis of whether people who are involved in after-school activities do better in grade 9 English or worse.
In English, I have a newspaper article to edit and submit Monday.
For French, I STILL need to understand all those finicky verb conjugations and study up on some new food-related vocab.
Science involves a stupid lab report, in which I have no idea how to get the answer!  Seriously.  We're supposed to figure out what substance something is, but it doesn't correspond with anything!

My Bookcase

I've decided to take pictures of my bookcase and all my amazing books.  Usually, I have a LOT of them loaned off to other people, but I have (most of) them back right now!

My Bookcase!  (okay, not ALL my books are here... some are in boxes, but these are the ones I read the most.

Post One Hundred

This is my hundredth post!

ONE
HUNDRED
POSTS

I think that is a pretty special number.  It means I've filled up a lot of space with my words, and you must know a lot about me.  It means I've changed my blog layout at least 5 times, and that I've spent over 100 hours on this lovely Blogger interface.  It means I've been here for a year, averaging 2 posts a week.
