Questions, Statues and Impending Distaster (x3)

Yes, the title is right. I'll start with the latter - Impending Disaster.  Yes, it is coming.  No, I don't mean 2012.  Don't believe in that.

What I do believe in, is that second semester will start in just over a month.  That means math, English, science and French all jumbled into one hard, confusing day.  There is no way  I am looking forward to that.

Another Impending Disaster is about writing.  I wrote a one-shot (still editing) for the libraries contest (in October, but I can never leave it to the last minute without loosing all my good ideas).  I wrote it on pure inspiration, fueled by the night and darkness what-have-you, but still.  I didn't even place in the last one, and a girl who isn't half as obsessed as I am with writing got an honorable mention.  I shouldn't be hoping for the best, but I am.

Easter Tidings

Easter's one of my favorite seasons - not because of the religous reasons, but simply the chocolate! Seriously, whoever invented chocolate should win the Nobel Prize (or something amazing like that).

But easter... lovely, bunny-hopping, candy-eating, egg-hiding easter. Should be great - a four day weekend or rest and relaxation was all I was looking for - not six different projects all due on either the tuesday or the wednesday once I get back. Yeah, definitly not my ideal easter. But it's happening. I'm overflowing with homework, dragged down by this wierd writers block (even in french), and trying to somehow find the will to actually get something done. Not happening.

So far, I've been able to waste time by re-doing this blog, playing Bejewled and reading.

I'm so immature. This post ends my procrastination. I seriously need to work - my honours are at stake - and if I don't get honours... I'm toast.

Well, off I go. I hope everyone has a great, relaxing weekend (who knows, maybe I'll be able to have a day or two off too!). May the ... err... easter bunny leave you lots of chocolate!

Sarah

P.S. Oh, and a bit of good news: I have a bike!!! (Well, I'm picking it up tomorrow... but still.) It's a Diamond Back Response Comp... the picture is the one off the website below. I can't wait!

P.P.S. Devon... can't comment so I'll say it here: I LOVE your poem!! It's dark, but awesome and truthful. You sure have a lot of talent!

Scripting...

April is rolling around the corner, and although this is the second year I've known about it, I'm still not sure if I should do it. (I found out about it from HPFF, and then I might've found a link to NaNoWriMo from there, or from HPFF again).

Is scriptwriting as fun as novel? Does it mess up your writing switching between the two? Should I just follow along with a book? Are there any specific plots you would want to have in a script compared to novel? I'm not sure about it... I already wrote a script, and know the format, and have a scriptwriting program... but it still wasn't the greatest fun.

Anyone have any advice?

Also, on another note, I haven't wrote much in... well, forever. VERY bad bits and pieces about random different things.... I never knew you could miss a story this much. It's heartbreaking, with nothing to do in my spare time. When people ask me what I do in my spare time, instead of saying my usual writing a novel... well, I'm left speechless. It's tragic.

I think I'm just.. intelliectually blocked at the moment. :S
