World Hello Day

Hello!  Bonjour!  Yia Sou!  Hola!  Hi!  Goedendag!  Salut!  Hey!  Haai!  Hej!

According to the radio, today is World Hello Day.  Cool!  Just say hello to 10 people (or write it 10 times) and well... you've participated.  :)

As for NaNo, I have a pretty spotty progress chart.  Some days, I just sit down and write my heart out, and then others I write my character's heart out because I can't think of anything else.  I am getting there, however, and 30k is a BIG accomplishment.  I know I can do 50, this is the best I've done (last year was worse, believe me).  I haven't even used any cheats yet, like the Find&Replace can't to can not and names to their full name.  You can get about a 1000 words out of that, and then another 1000 words for long, long, lonnnnggggg chapter headings.

But right now I don't even have chapter headings!  Whooo!

Although I did make the messy mistake of killing a ghost like a human, I'm getting over that because I hated the dude (Ethan) and just wanted him dead - I can make his soul forget what a human shape looks like later :)

Week 2 Blues?

I just found out that I didn't win the contest at my library.  I really thought I was going to win it.. and now I'm just plain sad.

Why do I write?  Someone my age who doesn't seem at all writerly (just one of those "I'm writing a book about my life story" people) got an honourable mention.  Mehh..

Am I actually a good writer?  Sure, I can write fast.  Sure, I'm obsessed with it.  Sure, I've written lots of words, but as they actually good words?

Fastest 1000 Words Ever

NaNoWriMo is going better than I thought yesterday, but not as great as I thought a few days ago.  I'm at a part that usually would have made me avoid the computer for days.. but instead, I blasted through the biggest chunk of that today!

Right now what has happened to Echo, my main character is this:

Erm.. November?

In grade one, we had to write a poster of November.  Most of them followed the teacher's style, like:

No  Light
No  Fun
No  Colour
No  vember

Right now, mine would be:

No  Time
No  Blogs
No  One to talk to
No  Writing perfection
No  vember

Hence this:  I have no time what so ever with NaNoWriMo (where my account is here).  I was going to blog (Ha, what on earth happened to that?), get ahead for NaNo, and all this other fun and impossible stuff.

Echo is on her way to a debate about the "Breaking Point", where earth was, more or less, destroyed and has now been built up again from....

As promised, I'm here.  My internet was down (AHH!!) for most of today, but it's back (dumb Bell) and I'm here to bother you!

Today started off well with NaNo, especially with the small disaster.  Nonetheless, I wrote 2742 words (prologue, part of chapter uno).
